nathan's bio...
Nathan brings his debut solo show to the Edinburgh
Fringe, after sell-out shows at the Leicester Comedy
Festival, and on the Brighton and London Fringe in 2010.
Nathan’s show this year promises the most offensive joke
ever. He’s wondering whether he should drop the joke
for his Royal Variety Performance. There are other
slightly less offensive jokes, about his son, his travel
around the world, and his work as a Marc Almond
look-alike. There’s even a joke that makes the whole
audience run around – guaranteed!
As
well as gigging around the country, Nathan is an
award-winning playwright, having recently won the Sir
Michael Caine Award for new writing for his play ‘The
Cure for the Common Cold’. The play, based on his debut
novel of the same name, is about bullying and drinking
one’s own urine. Nathan avoided the latter subject
matter when he talked with Sir Michael about it.
Nathan has previous experience
on the Fringe dating back 14 years – in 1996 he was a
baby-faced winner of Mervin Stutter’s Spirit of the
Fringe Award for the play ‘Lady Bracknell was a
Lesbian’. He was also in The Donkey Show, which was
the big hit of the 2000 Edinburgh Fringe. |
